Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Voice Script ("Service," "we," "us," or "our"), you ("User," "you," or "your") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use our Service.

Description of Service

Voice Script is a web-based service that converts written manuscripts into audiobooks using artificial intelligence voice generation technology. We provide:

• Manuscript upload and processing
• AI-powered voice generation via Speechify API
• Audio file generation and delivery
• Pay-per-project pricing model

User Accounts

Account Creation

• You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

Account Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years old to use our Service
• You must have the legal right to enter into this agreement
• You cannot use our Service if you have been previously banned or suspended

Acceptable Use

Permitted Uses

You may use our Service to:

• Convert your original written content into audiobooks
• Convert content you own all rights to
• Convert content you have explicit written permission to use for audiobook creation
• Create audiobooks for personal or commercial use (where legally permitted)

Prohibited Uses

You may NOT use our Service to:

• Upload copyrighted content without proper authorization
• Generate content that violates any laws or regulations
• Create content that infringes on others' intellectual property rights
• Upload malicious software or harmful code
• Attempt to reverse engineer or compromise our systems
• Use our Service for any unlawful purpose

Content and Intellectual Property

Your Content

• You retain all rights to the original content you upload
• You grant us a limited license to process your content for audiobook creation
• You represent that you have all necessary rights to upload and convert your content
• You are solely responsible for ensuring your content does not infringe on third-party rights

Generated Audiobooks

• You own the audiobooks generated from your original content
• AudioBooks are delivered to you for your use and distribution
• We retain no rights to your finished audiobooks
• You may use generated audiobooks for any lawful purpose
• AI-generated voices may not perfectly replicate human narration quality
• You are responsible for reviewing and approving the audio quality before distribution
• Voice models used in generation cannot be extracted or reused separately from the finished audiobook

Our Intellectual Property

• Our Service, software, and technology remain our property
• You may not copy, modify, or distribute our proprietary technology
• All trademarks and service marks are owned by their respective owners

Service Workflow

Processing Steps

Your audiobook creation follows these steps:

1. Upload your manuscript in supported formats (.txt, .docx, .pdf, .epub)
2. Select your preferred AI voice from our available options
3. Submit payment and initiate audiobook generation
4. Our system processes your manuscript using AI voice technology
5. Download your completed audiobook files

Processing Time

Estimated processing times by manuscript length:

• Short manuscripts (under 20,000 words): 1-4 hours
• Standard manuscripts (20,000-60,000 words): 4-12 hours
• Long manuscripts (60,000-100,000 words): 12-24 hours
• Epic manuscripts (over 100,000 words): 24-48 hours

These are estimates and may vary based on system load and manuscript complexity.

File Access and Storage

• Your manuscript and generated audio files are stored for 30 days after completion
• After 30 days, files are automatically deleted from our systems
• You are responsible for downloading and backing up your audiobook files
• We are not responsible for lost files after the 30-day retention period

Payment Terms

Pricing

• Pricing is based on word count tiers as displayed on our website
• Payment is required upfront before processing begins
• All prices are in USD unless otherwise specified
• Prices may change with advance notice

Refund Policy

We offer the following refund policy:

• Before Processing Begins: Full refund (100%) available if you cancel before audiobook generation starts
• During Processing: Partial refund (50%) available if processing is underway but not completed
• After Completion: No refunds once the audiobook has been generated and made available for download
• Technical Failures: Full refund if our system fails to generate your audiobook due to technical issues on our end
• Voice Changes: One free voice change request within 48 hours of completion (processing time for new voice may apply)
• Quality Disputes: Dissatisfaction with AI voice quality alone does not automatically qualify for refunds. We encourage sampling voices before purchase.

To request a refund, contact our support team at support@voicescript.app with your project ID and reason for the refund request.

Service Availability

• We strive for high uptime but cannot guarantee 100% availability
• Scheduled maintenance will be announced in advance when possible
• Processing times are estimates and may vary based on demand
• We reserve the right to suspend service for maintenance or improvements

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific service
• We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages
• We do not warrant that our service will meet all your requirements
• You use our service at your own risk

Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy, which governs how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By using our Service, you consent to our privacy practices as described in our Privacy Policy.

Termination

• Either party may terminate this agreement at any time
• We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these Terms
• Upon termination, you retain rights to completed audiobooks
• Certain provisions survive termination, including intellectual property rights

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitute acceptance of the modified Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service will be resolved in the courts of Delaware, United States.
